DFD Russell Medical Center to Expand Behavioral Health and Medication-Assisted Treatment Services

DFD Russell Medical Center is pleased to announce the expansion of its behavioral health and medication-assisted treatment services in Bridgton, Maine. This expansion is made possible by federal grant funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The funding and subsequent expansion are intended to enhance access to crucial behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment services for individuals in Central and Western Maine.

As part of HRSA’s nationwide initiative, grants were awarded to more than 400 community health centers across the country that care for more than 10 million people. Funding aims to integrate mental health and substance use disorder treatment into primary care.

DFD Russell Medical Center remains steadfast in its commitment to providing stigma-free, culturally competent, and accessible behavioral health and substance use services to individuals in need. The expansion will help address the mental health and opioid crisis impacting Maine communities.

In line with the expansion efforts, DFD is now seeking to hire a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at its Bridgton location. The LCSW will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive psychotherapy, counseling, and support services to patients in need.
