DFD Russell Medical Centers (DFD) is pleased to announce the recent addition of board-certified family nurse practitioner Christopher Butler, FNP, to the DFD team. Butler practices healthcare cooperatively with his patients, educating people on their health and involving them in shared medical decision-making.
Butler holds a Master of Science in Nursing—Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Southern Maine. A board-certified family nurse practitioner, he has more than twelve years of experience in high-acuity medical fields, including as a family nurse practitioner, registered nurse, and paramedic. Active in the community, Butler has volunteered with the Kennebunk Fire Rescue team.
“I believe in the upstream model of healthcare,” said Butler. “If we address smaller problems while they are ‘upstream,’ then by the time they get downstream, they’re still small, and easier for my patients to live with.”
Butler practices family medicine, with a particular interest in high-acuity medicine and managing acute and chronic medical conditions. He comes to DFD from Poland Community Health Center in Maine.
