Gary Rivard, DO
Gary Rivard, DO, joined DFD Russell Medical Centers in 2017 as Medical Director. He earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency at Central Maine Medical Center’s Family Medicine program. He has also completed a fellowship in academic medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and fellowships in medical executive leadership through the UCLA Anderson School of Management and the Hanley Foundation. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Rivard is also serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserves and has deployed overseas on multiple occasions. He brings with him a wealth of diverse experience in Family Medicine and in the areas of musculoskeletal medicine and chronic disease management. He is invested in education and strives to engage patients and families so they may have a clear understanding of their health issues and the choice they make regarding options for testing and treatment.
