Lydia Thorp, MD
Lydia Thorp, MD, joined DFD Russell Medical Centers’ Leeds location in July 2019. Dr. Thorp earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and attended medical school at East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine. Her residency was completed with the Johnson City Family Medicine Residency Program in Johnson City, Tennessee. Dr. Thorp attended the Hanley Physician Executive Leadership Institute in 2016 and presently sits on various boards with CMMC.
She comes to DFD Russell Medical Centers practicing chronic disease management and preventative care for all ages. She believes that cultivating compassionate relationships with patients enables her to be their guide in truly understanding health, medical concerns and health care options.
