Mayra Brink, PA-CAccepting New Patients

Mayra Brink, PA-C, joined DFD Russell Medical Centers’ Monmouth location in October 2022. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Moravian College where she graduated with honors and later attended Franklin Pierce University to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Studies.

Mayra has been practicing family medicine in rural Maine for many years. Prior to her work here, she served as a combat medic in the Army National Guard in Vermont for 20 years. During her time in the military, she was responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of soldiers before and after deployment.

As a board-certified physician assistant, Mayra focuses on primary care through all stages of life, from infancy to geriatrics. Her practice includes joint injections, biopsies, family planning, preventive health, and acute and chronic care management. Though she enjoys working with all patients, she has a special passion for pediatrics and women’s health.

Mayra believes in partnering with patients and meeting them where they are. By identifying goals and barriers, together, they can create an effective path forward. She believes preventative care and informed decision making are key to positive outcomes.
